The wooden box　Chawaka

Uji tea, a local industry in Uji, is combined with flowers as a plant, and a floral designer has created a new formative flower inside a wooden box.

Chawahana is a work (product) registered as a utility model.

Uji tea leaves are quietly present amidst the gorgeous flowers. Mainly based on the sense of wabi-sabi, it conveys the wisdom and atmosphere of the predecessors of this historic Uji region.

Today, when everything is stylishly and beautifully made up, casual nature will not even catch our eyes unless we are conscious of looking at it.
We have become accustomed to stable colors and shapes, and we no longer notice subtle differences and changes. Still, I want to cherish the sensibility to feel "delicacy" and "subtlety.

We put these thoughts into the works of Chawaka.
